Weighs 1-1/4 lbs, measures 8" x 1-3/4" x 1-1/2", uses one 9V battery (included). The J-4 displays wood moisture content in an easy to read and popular analog readout. The J-4 is calibrated to read Douglas Fir at 70 degrees. Using the included species correction and temperature correction tables, moisture content for a variety of different species and environmental conditions are possible.
