Bought this fireplace to make our windowless basement feel more homey to stage the house for sale. Needed one that vented the heat out the bottom so we could mount a TV above it. Very happy with this unit. It worked well. Like that it has low and high settings and adjustable flame. It looks fairly realistic but could look a little better. It sits of the wall and is easy to mount. We thought about building a mantle around it but that would have make the control buttons difficult to reach. It does come with a remote control, but you can only power it completely off, versus standby mode, on the unit itself. We like it enough that we took it with us when we moved. Good value for the money.
