JET 577103 10-Inch Industrial Bench Grinder Review

This Jet 10-inch grinder is a greave value for the price. The machine is heavy but has two mounting holes that you MUST use when setting this thing up. The machine requires almost no assembly other then mounting the tool guards and the plastic shields. The motor is completely sealed and does not require oil or grease. Instructions were helpful and contain good safety information for using this machine. We are using this in a mining equipment repair facility and it is holding up well. Unit replaced a 30yr old Black and Decker grinder. Very satisfied.

The Taiwanese chucks are Chinese, The Chinese Chucks are Chinese, and the American Chucks, are Chinese (Jacobs)
Albrecht makes their own chucks, in thier own factory, controlling ALL facets of quality, from materials, to fit, to finish!

A Chinese chuck came with my Mill. (SX3)It had so much runout, the resulting hole, was more of an 'oval' than a hole.

I checked runout to be around .007" To a machinist, this translates to scrap metal.
I immediately took steps to acquire the CP-130 Albrect Chuck with an integrel R8 shank.
My runout went from .007" to .00013"! Yeah it costs more; but you could say the same comparing a KIA to a BMW !
LIGHT YEARS DIFFERENCE IN QUALITY !

I've mailed my Chinese Chuck back to the reseller with instructions to fill up his landfill with this part, instead of my landfill!

Why bother to make such BS to begin with? Go to Albrecht. Go DIRECTLY to Albrecht, Do NOT PASS GO, DO NOT SPEND A DIME ON THE CHINESE CHUCK! SPEND the $300.+ and be happy!

Albrecht. The best there is IMHO ! Used them for decades, never regretted! PRECISION !

Irwin Tools 1078TRT 10 Piece Fast Release Locking Pliers Set Review

This particular set has the most variety for every job.

PROS:

1 - Good ergonomics
2 - Soft grips
3 - Most popular sizes and styles available in one set
4 - Good strong bite
5 - it comes in a blow molded storage tray to keep them organized in your tool box. so each plier has it's own slot that it fits in.

Cons:

Nothing yet............. I will report back when I find something really wrong with these pliers.

The only thing for me might be the storage tray. The configuration or lay out of the pliers on the tray take up too much space. Sadly I am not using it for the time being. Just cause it takes a little bit too much room in my tool box. But I won't deduct stars for that because it doesn't take away from the quality of the actual tool itself.

In the future I plan on buying my own foam inserts and make the tool cut outs and hopefully i can create a better configuration for the pliers so that they don't take up too much space in the drawers.

Conclusion:

There isn't much to compare it to. This is the cream of the crop I believe.
Buy this set. I think you will not be dissapointed. I have no complaints.
