Product Description

The JoolTool Intro Kit includes the compact multifunction JoolTool system and a basic set of accessories for sharpening, polishing, sanding, cutting, deburring, and grinding on metal, wood, and other materials. The tool has an ergonomic tilt and a spiral disc design that provides the user with a clear view of the workpiece for increased accuracy at a comfortable angle. The spiral disc design also circulates air to keep the JoolTool and the workpiece cool, even when at maximum speed. The variable-speed motor can be adjusted between 500 and 5,000 RPM. The backpad twists and locks onto the tool's spindle for a secure hold, and the disc retainer can be attached to the spindle and debris shield to ensure the disc stays in place if not properly locked onto the spindle. The PSA (pressure-sensitive adhesive) discs adhere and lock to the backpad for quick changes and ease of use. The JoolTool has a compact, durable ABS plastic body with a debris shield that can be removed for additional clearance, and an SBR rubber base that mounts to a tabletop with two screws (not included) to create a stable foundation. A suction hose can be attached to the tool's vacuum port for removal of dust and debris from the grinding area while working to increase safety and maintain visibility of the workpiece. The JoolTool fits on a tabletop and occupies less than one square foot. A wide range of accessories are available for this tool (sold separately) that expand its use for professionals and hobbyists working in lapidary, jewelry making, woodworking, tool sharpening, and many other fields.

Accessories in this kit include 3 backpads, 4 aluminum-oxide abrasive discs, 3 ceramic abrasive discs, 1 wool felt polishing disc, and 1 oz. polishing compound bar. The abrasive discs are labeled with coarseness, grit, and micron size, and have a PSA backing that adheres to the backpad, which provides a sturdy base that will not require truing or deform with use. The kit includes one coarse (400 grit), medium (1000 grit), fine (1500 grit) and very fine (3000 grit) aluminum-oxide abrasive disc for general-purpose honing and sharpening of metal, glass, and stone. The ceramic abrasive discs include one coarse (80 grit), medium (120 grit), and fine (220 grit) for grinding wood and metals. Ceramic abrasive is self-sharpening, harder and tougher than aluminum oxide, and recommended for more difficult-to-grind materials. The polishing compound coats the wool felt disc to buff metals to a lustrous finish. </p>
