Standard E-mon Class 1000 Meters are supplied in a NEMA 12 steel enclosure, appropriate for indoor installation where it will not be affected by the elements, such as moisture and extreme temperatures. Users can also order the E-mon Class 1000 with a NEMA 4x enclosure, which provides and extended enviromental operating range and protection from the hazards of outdoor enviroments.

I was really happy to find the E-mon D-mon submeter on Amazon! They are even hard to come by at the local Grainger store. Install was a breeze and with the innovative "clamp-on" current sensors you don't even have to remote the wires from the breaker. Although I haven't bought it, E-Mon D-mon does sell remote monitoring software for this unit which would make it very handy for multi-tenant landlords or site managers. Overall, very pleased with this product and its availability on Amazon.
