Product Description
This is your dream saw. Weighing 11 pounds, the PRECISION 2000 is ideal for the weekend warrior, hobbyist, crafter and Do It For Me (DIFM) types, who are tasked with cutting wood, glass, ceramic tile, metal, plexiglass, and other materials. Additionally, the bandsaw's small footprint offers increased flexibility for cutting material on a countertop, desk top or any other tight spaces. The PRECISION 2000 is the ultimate of hobby saws combining quality, affordability and a THREE Year Warranty. This saw is not only easy to use, but is one of the most versatile Hobby Band Saws ever made.Studio Pro Precision 2000 Wet/Dry Bandsaw with Diamond and Wood Blades Review
This is a hobbyist saw. The "Pro" in it's title is a little misleading. If you intend to cut anything other than glass or soft tile, keep plenty of extra blades around. The table supporting your work piece is made of plastic and warped after three days use. Pulleys are made of plastic as well. There not much adjust in blade tension and the guides are, you guessed it, plastic and wear easily. The water stream is adeqate, adjustments are a pain. The small socket head cap screws on the unit strip out easily, so, be careful. Support for this machine is lacking as well. I've left two messages over two weeks time for bandsaw tech support and no return calls as of yet. I've had this unit for about 3 or four weeks and it's about worn out. Again, Okay for a hobbyist cutting thin glass or soft wall tile. A Pro saw, this isn't.Most of the consumer Reviews tell that the "Studio Pro Precision 2000 Wet/Dry Bandsaw with Diamond and Wood Blades" are high quality item.
