Product Description
The Schlepp Tuff is one knife that truly lives up to its name. Its stout CP M 3V blade is mated to a handle featuring a G-10 scale and stainless liner on one side and a solid titanium scale on the other. An oversized pivot and a Chris Reeve Integral Lock (R.I.L.) with a hardened steel insert ensure superior strength and increased wear resistance, while its dimpled texture and four-position clip provide exceptional grip and ease of carry.Spyderco Schempp Tuff G-10 Plain Edge Knife, Black Review
This is another home run from Spyderco! The Reeve frame lock is solid and blade lock up is excellent. I think this is one of my favorite Spydercos yet! The 3V blade steel is honed to a superb sharpness for a great utility knife. This is the first knife that I have had with this blade steel, so far my impressions are excellent. I have used this knife for utility purposes with work and has worked great on cardboard, tape, insulation for electrical conductors and even peeling an apple. I was a little concerned with how the blade and handle were in the hand, but the blade is a natural pointer and is great. I would happily purchase this again. I have heard that 3V steel requires a little more maintenance in terms of rust prevention. After I used it in a high moisture environment, I wiped with blade down with a cloth and then did a quick rub down with olive oil (great oil to use if you use the knife around food) and tastes better than non cooking oils. Most of the consumer Reviews tell that the "Spyderco Schempp Tuff G-10 Plain Edge Knife, Black" are high quality item.
