This was a gift for my husband. When the package arrived one of the gauges was broken but the seller sent a new one (not without a little attitude but at least I didnt have to mail back the old one to get the new $10 gauges). But now that he is up and running - sparks are flying. We still had to buy a helmet. And he also bought a "bench" mover for it also so that it would move around the floor for working. So that was some extra cash to get going but all in all - works good for our use.

Sure would like to know why the review was "not helpful" to so many people. Perhaps it was because it was a seller issue about the broken gauge. Maybe it was the seller that was saying I wasn't helpful? But the welder works fine for our novice use.
